Welcome! On behalf of Southern Adventist University’s School of Social Work we would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your contribution to our field program. We understand that it is a big responsibility and takes precious time out of your day, but your dedication and commitment to the field practicum and the education of future social workers is greatly appreciated. Field practicum is an integral part of social work education.
This website has been created to train and guide you through the process of becoming a field instructor. This site includes training videos, access to important forms that your students will be using, tips on how to use our new intern tracking software (ALCEA), and a knowledge of our policies.
We recommend you start by reviewing our Policy and Procedure Manual for your designated student (BSW/MSW Students) found under the Policies Tab. Then, to access the training to be a field instructor, please choose one of the following tabs that best suits your situation: BSW Training, MSW Foundation Training, or MSW Advanced Training.
This is a resource for you, if you have any recommendations, please don’t hesitate to email us a suggestion at email@example.com.
Thank you for your contribution to social work education!
- Evie Nogales Baker, MSSW, LCSW
BSW and MSW Director of Field Education
